Boots 17 ads from the 70s

These ads are from 1978-1979. Boots 17 was an affordable make up range aimed at teenagers launched in 1968. I have a lot of memories of Boots 17 from the 90s and 00s and I'm so glad they brought the brand back after discontinuing it in 2018.

Muppet Babies annual 1988

The Muppet Babies cartoon featuring toddler versions of the muppets living together in a nursery ran from 1984 to 1991, with 107 episodes in total. It actually started life as a dream sequence in the film The Muppets Take Manhattan, featuring real puppets. A new character was created especially for the cartoon- Scooter's twin sister Skeeter.

Jelly Babies annual 1992

Jelly Babies: not only one of the best sweets but also one of the best mascots! In the 90s they released quite a few things featuring the Jelly Babies including this cute and colourful annual in 1992.

Disney toys by Mattel 1994 leaflet

I believe Tyco had the rights to make Little Mermaid dolls in the 90s up until around 96/97 which is maybe why she doesn't feature here and why Mattel didn't bring out an Ariel doll until 1997.

Barbie annual 1987

Barbie annual 1987

Some of the stuff in this annual included... Spandau Ballet fact file, Are You a True Friend quiz, Barbie's fashion secrets (aged badly), Tears For Fears fact file and poster, Barbie's Beauty quiz (includes terrible questions such as "are jacket potatoes fattening?", Thompson Twins poster, a Skipper comic called My Giddy Goat, All About Wham!, U2: A Few Words From Bono ("We're now considered the best rock band in the world" ...Bono as self deprecating as ever), and maybe the best part- a poster of Shakin' Stevens in a coat that looks way too big for him.
